More Mind Mapping

After yesterdays mind mapping success I have decided to do it again.  Yesterday I identified two areas that I would like to focus my essay investigation on, these are:

  • What is interactive media and why is it so confusing?
  • Interactive media in education and heritage

I think these two pieces will make great chapters for my essay but in order to make it work, I think I might need a third chapter to bind the other two into a coherent, collective piece of writing.  To identify a connective line of enquiry, I have created another mind map, see below:

Education and Heritage mind map

The mind map has thrown up a few ideas for me to investigate further and I will blog about any conclusions, if and when I have them.

New Module Practice in Context

Practice in context mind mapToday we were introduced to our ‘Practice in Context’ module; this is the major piece of writing that is involved within our course, as there is no dissertation.

As with all my creative endeavours, I have tried to look at the possibilities for exploration regarding this subject matter and as usual I did this by creating a mind map, see below:

Mind maps allow me to put down on paper whatever comes into my head regarding a particular subject and the strands that come from this often become legitimate lines of future enquiry.

It became evident to me through this process, that I would like to begin my essay by looking at what interactive media is and why it is a term that seems to generate a great deal of confusion.

I would also like to look at the areas that I am drawn to within my practice and those areas are the use of interactive media within heritage and education.
